.SHORT TERM... (Tonight through Tuesday Night) Issued at 1025 PM CDT Sun Sep 28 2025
Starting the work week, Monday will be warm and overall quiet. Patchy fog is a concern in the morning, but the showers and thunderstorms will be to our east so we will stay dry. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s.
As the tropical disturbance edges closer to the east coast into Tuesday, our UL winds will shift and begin to advect in some moisture from the storm. Don`t worry, we won`t be seeing any direct impacts as the NHC forecasts the storm to be taken out to sea. However, our rain chances will increase in areas east of I-65 on Tuesday (mainly on the Cumberland Plateau). Highs will be in the upper 70s for areas expecting rainfall, and mid to upper 80s for the rest of us.

.LONG TERM... (Wednesday through next Monday) Issued at 1025 PM CDT Sun Sep 28 2025
Mid-week and beyond, the UL ridge takes over our weather pattern. This will lead to clear skies for the remainder of the work week. Highs will be in the upper 70s to mid 80s, with quiet weather. When will Fall temperatures make it to the area? We will just have to wait and see on that one!
