.DISCUSSION... Issued at 1242 AM CDT Wed Sep 10 2025
Not much of a change from the previous forecast package with high pressure continuing to build aloft. A few disturbances will still be able to track in the upper flow, which combined with Gulf moisture will provide low to medium rain and thunderstorms chances (20-50%) through early next week. Although still believing the NBM is overdoing PoPs, have allowed slightly higher probabilities (60-70%) to enter the forecast late this week mainly over the marine zones in par with a persistence pattern. Chances inland will be at their highest Thursday and Friday before dropping below a 35% over the weekend. In terms of temperatures, these will generally be near normal to slightly above normal through next week with maximum heat index values remaining below 105 degrees.

.AVIATION... (12Z TAFS) Issued at 614 AM CDT Wed Sep 10 2025
Low chances for patchy fog exist in areas with calm winds like VCT, but this should burn up as daytime heating gets going. Aside from this, expect mostly VFR conditions through tonight. After midnight, a low chance of patchy fog will build across the clear skies over the Victoria Crossroads.
