.DISCUSSION... Issued at 231 AM CDT Wed Sep 24 2025
Low stratus and patchy fog will overspread the area this morning as an upper-level low moves overhead. Some isolated showers are possible this morning as the low moves through. Cloud cover should slowly clear from northwest to southeast later this afternoon. Today will be the coolest day of the next week with highs in the low to mid 70s.
An upper-level ridge begins building into the central Plains Thursday and will likely stick around through the weekend. This will lead to dry and mild conditions with temperatures generally in the low 80s for highs and upper 50s for lows. There are hints that the ridge may begin breaking down early next week.

.AVIATION /12Z TAFS THROUGH 12Z THURSDAY/... Issued at 648 AM CDT Wed Sep 24 2025
Low stratus continues to come in and out of the Topeka terminals. Conditions should improve over the next several hours and clouds clear/scatter from northwest to southeast through the day today. Isolated showers continue across portions of Kansas and western Missouri, but confidence in any of these showers impacting a terminal is too low at this time for inclusion in the TAF.
