Mayville is a village in the town of Chautauqua, New York. It is the county seat of Chautauqua County. The population was 1,477 at the 2020 census, 13.7% less than in the 2010 census. The village and town offices share a building on Main Street, directly across from the Chautauqua County courthouse.
