- Southwest Kansas will remain dry through the remainder of September, and well into October, probably for at least the next 10 days.

- Temperatures will remain seasonably pleasant, near early autumn normals, with no unseasonable heat or strong cold fronts expected.

An upper level ridge will build above the area over the next several days bringing dry conditions to western Kansas. Precipitation chances remain below 10 percent through the entire forecast period. High level cloudiness will increase this evening into the overnight period with decreasing cloudiness tomorrow. Periods of high level cloudiness will continue into this weekend into next week. Winds will generally be from a southerly direction through tonight before a weak cold front moves through the area Saturday morning shifting winds briefly to the north. Southerly winds then return by Saturday night and continue through the remainder of the period. Highs will generally be in the upper 70s to low 80s with lows in the 50s to around 60 degrees.
