Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Glasgow MT 243 AM MDT Fri Sep 19 2025

.DISCUSSION...

KEY MESSAGES:

- There is potential for fog, dense at times to form in the eastern portion of the area.

- Dry and warming conditions are expected today through Sunday.

- A cold front will swing through Sunday to Monday to bring breezy conditions and possible light rain.

WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW: A weak trough pattern will become a ridge into the day Sunday. Prior to this, there is moderate confidence of patchy dense fog forming along the low elevation locations east of Glasgow and along the Yellowstone River Valley. There is high confidence the fog will burn off by noon.

A warming trend with a cold front on Sunday night will allow temperatures to drop and bring low confidence of accumulating rainfall on Monday. There is very little indication of precipitation until late in the forecast, but confidence on this is currently low.

FORECAST CONFIDENCE & DEVIATIONS: Used a mix of NBM and NBM 90 for winds on Day 1. Adjusted PoPs for cold front on Sunday night into Monday. Confidence is described in the discussion above.
