.DISCUSSION... Issued at 1244 PM CDT Mon Sep 8 2025

Tonight through next Sunday:

Tonight-Tuesday

Clear skies with comfortable temperatures are expected over the next couple of days. Trough pattern continues to move eastward, limiting rain chances across majority of the area and keeping northerly winds across the area. SE MS could see an isolated chance (15-20%) for rain Tuesday afternoon as a weak disturbance moving over the area. These rain chances will decrease shortly after sunset. Highs are expected to reach the mid/upper 80s with lows in the upper 50s to lower 60s.

Wednesday-next Sunday:

Persistent clear conditions are expected through the rest of the period. Ridging pattern will migrate towards the southeast CONUS, causing high temperatures to start in the upper 80s/near 90s, reaching the mid/upper 90s by the end of the forecast period. Overnight lows are expected to range in the 70s. Little (less than 5%) to no rain chances are expected for the remainder of the period. /SW/
