Early this morning, skies were mostly clear as broad high pressure
was in place at the surface.  Temperatures were in the upper 60s to
mid 70s with light winds.  Upper-level ridging has built in across
the majority of Texas as the region lies between two upper lows,
over the Rockies and over the southeast US.  This pattern should
remain in place through at least tonight. Fair weather is therefore
expected today with light southeasterly flow at the surface.  The
airmass is about the same as it has been the past few days so high
temperatures are expected to be in the low 90s once again.  Aside
from some scattered mid-level clouds overnight, skies should be
mostly clear with light winds, allowing temperatures to fall to the
mid to upper 60s.

The combination of weak instability, tropical moisture(PW values
1.25 to 1.5 inches) and weak upper level disturbances will bring low
chances(20-30%) of showers and thunderstorms through much of the
long term. Most areas will not see any rainfall. The best potential
for greater than 1/2 of an inch will be across the Heartland.
Otherwise, expect slightly above normal temperatures with highs in
the upper 80s to mid 90s. No significant cold fronts are expected
during the next 7 days.

VFR conditions expected for the next 24 hours with light and
variable winds. Winds will increase to around 10KT at most
locations by late morning from the south to southeast, before
weakening this evening. Occasional gusts over 15KT are possible
this afternoon.
